Our childcare program utilizes parents and other volunteers to provide quality care and programing for children from birth to age four for all regular services. Classroom placements are determined by development until the age of four. These divisions are described below under "Childcare Placement and Promotion Guidelines."

Devlopemental Promotion Sundays: Childcare room promotion takes place four times per year, as determined by the Childcare T.E.A.M. The promotion dates are the first Sunday of the following months:
January
April
July
September

The guidelines for placement and promotion are identified below. Parental judgment will be used to determine placement at the time of enrollment and on promotion days. If a child demonstrates an insufficient mastery of the developmental skill after they have been promoted to a different room, they will be asked to return to the room that is best suited for their developmental achievement. Our goal is to provide a consistent and safe environment for every child, therefore, as the parent you play a key role in determining the placement for your child. Childcare Placement and Promotion Guidelines
Nursery – new born to beginning walkers. Promotion from the Nursery room to Wee Walkers will take place for those children that are walking independently without stumbling.

Wee Walkers – proficient walkers to beginning potty trainers. Promotion from the Wee Walkers room to the Big Kids Now room will take place for those children that are fully potty trained. A child that has two accidents (at church) within a three-week period would indicate non-mastery of this skill. A good rule of thumb is, if they are still having regular accidents at home, the skill is probably not mastered.

Big Kids Now – fully potty trained to age 4. Promotion from the Big Kids Now room is based on age. Those children who are four years old by the first Sunday in September will be promoted to the 4 & 5 year old class. This promotion will only occur one time per year, in conjunction with the church-wide Sunday School promotion each September.
